The Ephemeros – CFS Foymount images focus on the former cold war Canadian Forces Station Foymount. Opened in 1952 as part of Canada’s ‘pine-tree’ NORAD defence line the military abandoned the 400-person base and community after less than 22 years of operation. Despite some transformation attempts to non-military enterprises the community risks becoming a ghost town; to this day the majority of the facilities are abandoned, unused, and in disrepair, with discarded objects still to be found.
